Taycan Overview

The Porsche Taycan family of vehicles is completely electric-powered. Unlike hybrids and gas vehicles, these LEVs don’t have any combustion engine components, which means you’ll never have to fuel these cars with gasoline.

Every Taycan is a roomy and comfortable sedan designed to seat up to 5. The standard model seats 4, but you can choose to add a center back-row seat. Enjoy a spacious cargo bay and fold-flat seating that makes the most of its interior.

However, unlike your average sedan, these low-to-the-ground, aerodynamic sports cars have intimidating looks and sharp lines that tell every other car on the road: this isn’t your average electric car.

Taycan’s 800-volt architecture increases its power output and improves charging times. This means that you can plug in your Porsche Taycan at a public DC charging station or home wall box, then get back on the road with an 80%, often in under 25 minutes. This 800-watt architecture also includes tech improvements that preserve its service life and reduce the need for maintenance.

Porsche Taycan (Base Model) — The base model, the standard Porsche Taycan, includes a wide array of advanced features, including a driving range of 225 miles on a single charge. For a small upgrade, it’s also available as a sports station wagon, as the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo.

In terms of performance, even the starting end includes such attractive ratings as 402 horsepower, special Launch Control technology, and 0 to 60 miles per hour acceleration as low as 5.1 seconds. The starting Taycan comes with rear-wheel drive and innovative two-speed transmission. While this may sound like a downgrade, it actually reduces uncomfortable shifting and increases acceleration. The interior is sophisticated, minimal, and tech-focused. Available features include four-zone climate control, a massage feature in the front seats, and a heated steering wheel.

The base model includes a 16.8-inch, delightfully curved gauge display that keeps you informed about your vehicle’s current status and your driving performance. Two infotainment screens in the center console keep you in touch with your preferred audio settings, climate controls, the battery’s charge level, and so much more.

Every Taycan has a rich amount of driver-assist features, including forward-collision warning and lane-keeping assist. Available features that are standard in some higher trims include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and even night vision. The latter enhances your exterior view on dark nighttime roads so you can spot vehicles, obstacles, road signs, and other objects with ease.
