Mercedes-Benz EQS Trim Levels
As mentioned, there are two Mercedes EQS models available. The Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ and the Mercedes-Benz 580 4MATIC. The difference between the two models stems from the powertrain, with the 580 4MATIC delivering more power for a sportier driving experience.
Each model is also available in three separate trim levels: Premium, Exclusive, and Pinnacle. Each ascending trim level offers more advanced luxury features, with the Pinnacle representing the highest level.
Mercedes-Benz EQS Interior & Technology
The interior of the Mercedes-Benz EQS has made headlines for its stunning, futuristic look. That starts with the 56-inch curved glass Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) Hyperscreen display with a “Zero Layer” concept. The “Zero Layer” principle means that the screen will organize all essential information in a single display for the easiest possible access.
This screen covers the entire front dash and displays all the information a driver and passenger could need. The digital information cluster is mounted directly behind the steering wheel for easy vision. In the center is a 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment display. This section allows the driver to control the EQS’ built-in GPS, as well as music, phone calls, and even their seat settings. At the far end is the passenger touchscreen display, which gives the passenger access to many of the same features.
The cabin itself is designed to match the cockpit technology. Ambient LED lighting, heated and massaging front and rear seats, and ample charging outlets for mobile devices make up some of the features inside the Mercedes EQS.
To enhance comfort and elegance even further, the EQS offers 4-zone climate control, 3D surround sound, and even HEPA air filters to keep the cabin air clean and refreshing.
Mercedes-Benz EQS Safety Features
The Mercedes EQS is equipped with many of the most advanced assisted driving features available. Partial steering assist and lane centering assistance can provide support on some roads. Lane change and keep assist, and active traffic sign detection also help provide safety and support on the road. The EQS can even modify your speed and acceleration based on speed limits and available remaining charges.
As with any driving assist features, drivers should remember that these features are not a substitute for responsible driving habits.
Other standard safety features on the EQS include active braking assist, blind spot monitoring and assistance, and attention assist that will detect signs of drowsiness in the driver.
