Did you know there are some common myths involving Electric Vehicles?

The new Jaguar I-PACE and Range Rover PHEV vehicles will be coming soon to JLR dealerships! Personnel may encounter some common myths involving these EVs due to their emerging technologies. Here are a few, along with the facts that go with them.

MYTH: The battery will need to be replaced regularly.

FACT: EV batteries normally have a warranty of 8 years – much longer than standard vehicle warranties.

MYTH: EVs sound high-tech and must be expensive to maintain.

FACT: They are simple to service, as there are fewer moving parts than in conventionally-powered vehicles.

MYTH: Electric Vehicles are slow and do not handles well.

FACT: Electric motors generate 100% torque from standstill, leading to stunning acceleration. Due to battery location EVs can have a relatively low center of gravity, resulting in improved handling performance.
