Just beneath the nose of the entry-level E300 trim, a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine holds court with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Offered with your choice of either rear- or 4MATIC® all-wheel drive, the E300 turns out a terrific 241 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque.

We also dig this drivetrain for its fuel economy. A rear-drive E300, for instance, is rated at a robust 25 mpg combined (22 city/30 highway).
