When shopping for a midsize luxury crossover, what qualities do you value most? Is it style, performance, onboard amenities, or some combination of the three? Or, perhaps something else entirely?

Well, whatever the case may be, we here at Ray Catena Auto feel you may well find just what you’re after in the form of the all-new 2017 Land Rover Discovery.

And if you’re at all curious as to what it brings to the table, we invite you to check the clip below. Ride out with MotorWeek critic Lauren Morrison, as she puts the Discovery through its paces:

Served up standard across the model range are an athletic eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel-drive system. From there, shoppers have a choice of two distinctive drivetrains.

The first, a supercharged 3.0-liter V6, is rated at a robust 340 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. It’s the default powertrain on most Discovery models.

A 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6, meanwhile, is optional on the HSE and HSE Lux trims. Producing 254 horsepower and a plentiful 443 pound-feet of torque, it’s worth noting that this diesel-drinker is also expected to be the more fuel-efficient option of the two.

To learn more about this modern marvel, or to take one for a spin, we suggest you set a course for our Edison, NJ location. Our automotive enthusiasts are on hand to address your every query about the Discovery, or any other Land Rover model within the current lineup.
