Does the Porsche Taycan Have Autopilot?

October 4th, 2022 by

The Porsche Taycan is Porsche’s first fully-electric vehicle. It is noted for its exceptional performance and striking design. Like with many other luxury electric vehicles, customers are often curious if the Porsche Taycan has autonomous driving features. The answer to that is yes, but there are many differences between different cars’ automated assistance technologies, and misconceptions about these may arise.

The “autopilot” features found in many LEVs do not mean that the car is fully capable of driving itself. Rather, these features are equipped to provide automated assistance to the driver to maintain safe driving conditions. Examples of such features available on the 2024 Porsche Taycan and previous versions of the model are adaptive cruise control, lane keep and lane change assist, and automated emergency braking.

So while the Porsche Taycan cannot drive itself, it is equipped with many features to improve the driving experience. Driving assistance features such as these are not a substitute for safe and responsible driving habits.
