Black Audi A3 LCPO SedanThe Audi A3 40 has been a staple in the German manufacturer’s lineup for years. It may be the smallest sedan in the Audi lineup, but it makes up for it through its luxury features and premium aesthetic. The A3 40 was redesigned in 2022, so it only received minimal updates for the 2024 model, but additional package options make for some excellent choices. 2024 Audi A3 40 Model Options

The A3 40 offers two trim packages: the Premium 40 TFSI and the Premium Plus TFSI 40. The Premium 40 TFSI starts at $36,895, while the Premium Plus 40 TFSI starts at $40,495. Unfortunately, the Premium Plus 40 TFSI doesn’t come with any additional power.

However, it adds enough features to make the higher-level model worth it, including lane-keeping assist, seat and mirror memory settings, wireless smartphone charger, adaptive cruise control, and passive keyless entry. Both models can also be equipped with Quattro all-wheel drive for an additional $2000.

Audi A3 40 Performance

There is only one engine option for the A3 40: a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder equipped with a 48-volt hybrid system. This powertrain delivers up to 201 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque. The A3 40 may not be a sports car, but it packs enough power to have some fun on daily drives.

A3 40 Design Points

On the outside, the A3 40 offers sleek curves around the body lines with an edgy appearance. However, the A3 40 shines more on the inside cabin, where you’ll find faux-suede trimming, accented stitching on the dash, and available sports seats to round it out.

Audi A3 40 Tech and Infotainment

The Audi A3 40 has a standard 10.1” digital instrument cluster display and central infotainment display. However, those who opt for the Technology package on the Premium Plus 40 will see this upgraded to a 12.3” display.

The Technology package is a worthy investment for those who love gadgets, as it also adds:

  • Navigation
  • Traffic sign recognition
  • A Bang and Olufsen sound system
  • Six months of Audi Connect Plus
  • 4G Wi-fi connectivity

Overview of the A3 40

Since the A3 40 received only minimal updates this year, it may be worth forgoing this year’s model. However, it is an excellent option for those in the market for a new luxury sedan. We recommend going with the Premium Plus 40 to secure some of the better features and the Technology package for the gadgets.
