August 8th, 2024 by

The INFINITI QX55 first entered the scene in the 2022 model year as another compact SUV option. It has since carved its own path among the competition. At Ray Catena, you can find a selection of certified pre-owned QX55 models, offering both luxury and value.

Infiniti Luxury Electric VehiclesThe INFINITI QX55 is the step up from the QX50, offering everything the 50 has and more in a sleeker package. However, there are a few things that set the QX55 apart, including standard all-wheel drive, bolder looks, more advanced safety features, and a higher price tag for these additional features. Check out our full review of the INFINITI QX55 below.

INFINITI QX Engine and Performance

The QX55 is built more for a smooth and luxurious ride than a powerful one. It comes equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which is the same one in the QX50. The engine is called the VC-turbo and delivers up to 268 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque along with an automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT).

While it doesn’t pack the biggest punch, it can be punchy enough to have a little fun with a 0-60 in around 6.4 seconds. However, the standard all-wheel drive and well-equipped suspension offer a comfortable ride.

INFINITI Design Elegance

The cabin design carries a lot over from the QX50 but adds some stylish choices and upgrades. In the base Luxe and middle-of-the-line Essential model, you’ll get standard leather upholstery, while the Sensory package gets upgraded semi-aniline leather.

Those searching for a luxurious cabin should opt for the Essential package, as it also adds maple wood trim and faux leather upholstery that accents from the console to the center stack. One major benefit over the QX50 is the extra 1.5” of rear headroom, which is just enough to allow for more storage and comfort.

Tech and Infotainment

The QX55 offers all the tech and infotainment you expect from the luxury manufacturer. The infotainment system features a dual-screen setup, with the top display offering navigation while the bottom offers media, settings, and radio. Additionally, every trim level comes standard with a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot and a Bose stereo system.

Overview of the QX55

The QX55 mostly received a few cosmetic updates and minor interior changes, so it may be worth skipping this generation if you were considering an upgrade. However, it can be a great choice for those needing a new vehicle or buying their first compact SUV. We recommend the Luxe model, as it comes standard with most of the impressive features at an approachable price.
