2018 infiniti qx80The INFINITI was first released in the 2014 model year after a rebadging from the QX56. Now, in its tenth year, INFINITI has decided to give it an overhaul into a completely new generation. INFINITI QX80 Performance and Mileage

The QX80 offers a whopping 450 horsepower, making for enough zip to have a good time. While the exact figures aren’t available yet, the QX80 is estimated to offer a 0-60 in around 5.3 seconds.

Moreover, the QX80 offers plenty of power for your towing needs, with all package levels rated for towing up to 8,500 pounds.

For mileage, the EPA rates the QX80 at around 16mpg in the city and 20mpg on the highway for the rear-wheel drive models. The Sensory and Autograph packages come with standard all-wheel drive, which drops the mileage figures by 1 mpg each.

INFINITI QX80 Design Points

The QX80 features a significant design overhaul from the previous year’s models. On the outside, an updated front end and grille add an imposing look, while exterior lighting elements bring some flair.

Inside the cabin, the 3 rows of seating offer spacious comfort for up to eight passengers. The standard seats feature an elegant design and comfort enough, but you can also upgrade to the Sensory or Autograph package for the addition of a massage function to the first and second-row seats. Heated third-row seats are another option that may interest some buyers.

Infotainment and Tech

Of course, the QX80 comes with all the high-tech features and infotainment systems you’d expect from INFINITI. Two 14.3” screens sit mounted on the dash as the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster, while a third 9” touchscreen is mounted on the center console for A/C and heating controls, as well as drive mode control.

Moreover, you’ll get a standard 14-speaker Klipsch sound system, which is upgraded to a 24-speaker system in the Sensory and Autograph trim levels. The cabin features 8 USB-C ports to cover virtually all your charging and device connection needs.
