The Lexus RZ was first introduced in 2023 as the manufacturer’s first all-electric entry to their lineup. This incredible electric SUV maintains all of the luxury and comfort that Lexus is known for. The 2024 RZ lineup sees the introduction of a new base front-wheel drive model and some improvements upon the previous year’s release.
Check out more about the Lexus RZ below and how it has changed in the newest rendition.
The Lexus RZ has four different trim levels, with these being the RZ 300e Premium, 450e Premium, 350e Premium, and 450e Luxury. The RZ 300e is the newest addition to the lineup and features a front-wheel-drive system, whereas the others are all-wheel drive.
The newest RZ model, the RZ 300e, features a larger battery than previous models at 72.8kWh. This allows the base model to achieve a range of 266 miles when equipped with 18” wheels. The EPA estimates it to achieve an MPGe rating of 137 in the city, 112 on the highway, and 125 combined.
This beats out even the higher two models, with the RZ 450e featuring a 71.4kWh battery and a range of 220 miles.
The RZ 300e may beat out the RZ 450e when it comes to range, but performance is where the 450e shines. The 300e comes with a stock 201 horsepower, whereas the 450e comes with a solid 308 horsepower. This makes the 450e able to achieve 0-60 in around 4.5 seconds.
The RZ battery charge times compare with those of other electric vehicles on the market. A Level 2 charger can be charged from low to 100% in around 9-11 hours. However, using a DC fast charger, you can charge it from low to 80% in 30-60 minutes.
The Lexus RZ offers a wide array of standard safety and driver assistance features that help to keep you and your passengers safe on the road. These include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, and more. There is also an optional automated parking feature available.
The cabin features a large 14” infotainment screen on the dashboard that can be used through touchscreen or voice commands. The infotainment system features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration with wireless connectivity.
Standard features also include a digital instrument cluster and head-up display, which will project important driving information, such as navigation directions and speed, onto the windshield.
The Lexus RZ 300e Premium starts at just $55,150, with the 450e Premium going up to $59,850. Take one of these incredible EVs for a test drive at your nearest Ray Catena Lexus dealership, or browse our whole Lexus EV inventory online now.
