The i7 offers a very long driving range of up to 318 miles on a full charge. With that much range, drivers won’t need to make frequent stops to charge. However, when charging is required, drivers often want to know how much time they need to spend at the charging station. BMW i7 drivers have multiple options when charging their vehicles.
Charging the BMW i7
The BMW i7 can be charged at both AC charging stations and DC charging stations. Using a 240V AC Level 2 charger, the i7 requires just under 12 hours to reach a full charge. Level 2 chargers can be found in some public spaces, but are also commonly installed in homes for convenient overnight charging.
For faster charging, BMW i7 drivers can also use public DC fast charging stations. BMW reports that the i7 can receive 90 miles of driving range for every 10 minutes of charging at a DC fast charger. That averages out to just under 30 minutes to reach 80% charging capacity.
