How Long Does it Take to Charge the Lexus LC Hybrid?
The Lexus LC Hybrid coupe is not a plug-in hybrid, meaning it does not need to be charged to use its electric power. Instead, the Lexus LC Hybrid uses regenerative braking to recharge as it drives. The LC Hybrid gets a combined 29 miles per gallon.
There are two general categories of hybrid electric vehicles: plug-in hybrids and traditional hybrids. Plug-in hybrids can alternate between gas and electric driving modes. They need to be plugged into a charger in order to use their electric power.
Traditional hybrids, on the other hand, use electric and gas power simultaneously. The electric battery in a traditional hybrid recharges automatically as it drives. While they lack an electric-only mode, these hybrids offer a much more fuel-efficient driving experience than gas-engine models.
The Lexus LC Hybrid is a traditional hybrid that offers both luxury and efficiency. The 2023 Luxury LC Hybrid gets 26 city, 33 highway, and 29 combined miles per gallon. Compare that to the gas engine LC models, which get 16/25/19 MPGs.
